Hours & Curriculum
These classes are mixed age classes for 3-5 year olds. We will
discover the world around us through the use of music, books
and art. Children will be introduced to concepts such as
honesty, cooperation, generosity, responsibility, friendship,
compassion and respect. We work on listening, taking turns
and playing on their own. Circle time is when we will discuss
the day's theme and build on it through the use of books,
music, song, dance and art. We will learn shape and color
recognition. Each week a new letter of the alphabet is
introduced and taught using phonics learning tools, as well as
learning to recognize lower case and upper case. We introduce
pre-math concepts, number recognition, listening skills and
how to work through problems with others. We work with
writing, cutting, and sequencing. We also incorporate the use of
Spanish in our teaching.
